He was the first person to read to before the rest, so I was pretty excited. It was the first day, so he would be nervous and happy at the same time when they meet someone new.

This time it was much better than the first time. He was not as nervous as before. We talked about his family, where does he come from, if he has any pets. Ask question where he is comfortable to look up beside at the table. The book was good because he wants to be a cop with he grows up.

The session went pretty well. He has a quite voice; he likes to talk about his family and most of all he loves his dog Spike. It want pretty fast, because the came later by the time he was doing the other quiz with his other reading partner it was time to go. I had a good time talking with him. He is a good listen.

It was the last day, it was sad to see them go. They made us card thanking you for what we did. It was so cute. When we finish reading we didn’t want to read another book, but to just hang out and talk about anything. He has a bright future ahead of him if he wants to be a cop someday. Read Aloud Project Report Due Today

30 points, well written and thorough
(2 full pages, 400-500 words)

+ 20 points for the well-done, completed Reading Log

Now that you are done reading to your partner, its time to write a report and also give a brief oral report. (Oral reports (10 points) will be given during the last week of class.)

For the written report, answer the following questions in separate typed paragraphs.

1.     What was the age and relationship of your reading partner to you? What did you read to them? Describe the typical meeting: Where did you read, when, how long?

I would say the age of my reading partner is age 12. My reading partner was so cute and shy, I was the one who was doing the talking so he would be comfortable around me. The first day was like that, but the following days he relaxed. When he would be talking about himself without me asking him question I felt good that he was warming up toward me. We read about love, how to following the rule because it will keep you safe from danger.  We read about how you shouldn’t be afraid of anything, and how you should celebrate thing in the world or your background. We read in the library up stair, with the other group it was pretty loud but I have to speak very loud, which is something that I never do. Every Tuesday and Thursday we would meet up stairs at the library form 9:30 to 11:30.

2.     How did your relationship change as you went along? What did you learn about that person that you didn't already know? Has your Partner's attitude toward reading changed?

The relationship changed a lot. Every time we met he would smile and but would get coward. He pays good attention to things, if he has question he would ask. I thought he wanted to be a professional athlete, but he wants to be a cop in the future. I was very surprised. I don’t think he attitude toward reading change. It seems like he want to play all the time.

3.     What did you learn about yourself that you didn't already know? How has your attitude changed toward reading, especially reading aloud?

I don’t have a quite voice after all. I can read aloud and not get nervous or I should say not get nervous in front of kids. Reading aloud is not that bad. I never wanted to read aloud because I would get nervous and I think people would make fun of me, but this time it was different. I have to read aloud, and be confident that I know what I am doing.

4.     What was the best thing you experienced about this Read Aloud Project?

It was different to read to the future 6th graders, but I’m glad that I did and to meet my partner.

5.     What surprised you about this project?

Some of those kids would be so smart than any of use, by the time they get to college they would be using computers to do their work. Those kids are so smart, and has a bright future ahead of the.

6.     Explain why you will or will not read aloud again.

I would finally read aloud again. It help me be a better reader, have good speech, and would make me loss my accent. So, I would finally do it again for those three reasons.
